Uzbekistan sends nearly 200 tons of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan
In accordance with the instructions of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, humanitarian aid has been delivered to Afghanistan in connection with the Navruz holiday and the upcoming Ramadan Eid. This was reported by the Surkhandarya regional administration.

It was noted that the cargo, which contained almost 200 tons of food products intended for the Afghan population, was delivered to the Balkh region.

The necessary food products delivered to the neighboring country were handed over at the Astras company in Hairatan in the presence of the Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatilla Irgashev, the Governor of Surkhandarya Region Ulugbek Kasimov, as well as officials of the relevant ministries, the Governor of Balkh Region Muhammad Yusuf Vafo, and officials from both sides.

The humanitarian aid includes flour, wheat, pasta, vegetable oil, sugar, instant noodles, red beans, and mung beans.

A bilateral meeting was also held in Mazar-i-Sharif to discuss the development of future cooperation. During the conversation, a separate exchange of views was held on the construction of the Imam Bukhari mausoleum, which is being built by Uzbekistan in Afghanistan.

The Afghan authorities expressed gratitude to the President and people of Uzbekistan for the assistance provided and sent their sincere congratulations on the upcoming Eid al-Fitr.

During the visit, they also got acquainted with new projects being implemented.
