The government resolution “On additional measures to regulate passenger transportation by road” was adopted.
According to the resolution, non-route taxis owned by legal entities are granted the following rights:
- stopping in the area of operation of the “Stopping is prohibited” road sign, including in areas adjacent to airports and train stations, in order to pick up and drop off passengers;
- free access to paid parking areas of airports, railway stations, bus stations, construction goods, farmers' and goods markets, and shopping malls, in which the state share in the authorized capital is 50 percent or more;
- Movement along a special lane allocated for directed vehicles.
In addition, from April 15, 2025 to the end of 2026, as an experiment, in Tashkent city, self-employed persons will be allowed to carry out non-directed taxi activities in vehicles approved by the Ministry of Transport, with more than 4 and no more than 8 seats in addition to the driver, and with high comfort.
In this case, a state duty will be charged for issuing a license to self-employed carriers in the amount of 3 times the MRP.
