TikToker arrested for oskorblenie Uzbekov

Tiktoker Valery Yugay, known on social networks as Abdullah, has been arrested. This was reported by the press secretary of the head of the Tashkent regional Department of Internal Affairs, Bobur Tulaganov.

It turned out that while he was in South Korea in October-November 2024, he made a number of insulting statements on his social media pages against citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, using words that could provoke interethnic conflict, insult national dignity, and discriminate against citizens based on their religious beliefs.

The Tiktoker was brought to Uzbekistan on March 25 of this year on the Abu Dhabi-Samarkand flight and was detained by law enforcement officers in a procedural manner.

A criminal case has been opened under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. He has been taken into custody as a precautionary measure, and an investigation is currently underway. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
