A part of multi-storey buildings will be transferred to the social housing fund

According to the “roadmap” for the implementation of the National Strategy of Uzbekistan on Human Rights until 2030, proposals will be developed to strengthen social protection of persons in need of housing and improve the system of providing social housing to the needy population, which will include the following:

- a comprehensive assessment of each family living in social housing by a social worker and assistant to the mayor of the mahalla;
- providing social housing for rent only to families that do not have able-bodied members and are on the “register of poor families”;
- covering the costs of renting a house for poor families, provided that an able-bodied member works;
- application of special subsidy conditions to mortgages of families who have come out of poverty;
- transfer of a part of multi-storey houses to the social housing fund.

Developed proposals will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
