Entrepreneur Marat Hamdamov personally responded to the situation widely discussed on social media — why actress Sabrina Jabbarova was not given the apartment that had been promised.

In a video statement, Hamdamov clarified the details and addressed various unclear points.

"I reached out intending to help, not for publicity"

According to Hamdamov, after seeing videos about Sabrina Jabbarova and learning she was in Turkey, he contacted her via Telegram and asked her to notify him upon her return to Uzbekistan.

"They returned and sent copies of their passports. But at that time, my company was holding a promotion, and I was very busy. I read Sabrina’s message late. Then I asked for her phone number, and she directed me to her lawyer. This surprised me — why involve a lawyer?" said the entrepreneur.

He emphasized his intention was to quietly provide charitable assistance without publicity. However, subsequent interactions and statements online left him disappointed.

"I was accused of doing it for publicity — it hurt"

Hamdamov stated that he had no obligation to provide the apartment, and it was purely an act of kindness. But accusations of "publicity-seeking" by Sabrina's lawyer and comments online diminished his desire to help.

"If Allah opens your heart, you can give away even your last belongings. But if it is not destined, you won’t give away even a single penny. Now I will give this apartment to another needy mother with minor children," he stated.

Sabrina Jabbarova — Victim of a tragic incident

Recall, Sabrina Jabbarova was severely injured during filming of a music video for singer Ozoda Nursaidova when she was run over by a "Gelandewagen". Due to an unsuccessful surgery in Uzbekistan, she suffered severe leg injuries. Later, through volunteers’ efforts, 367 million soums were raised, enabling a successful surgery in Turkey.

Lawyer’s viewpoint

Sabrina's lawyer Zebohon Komilova accused the entrepreneur of "publicity-seeking" and claimed her number was blacklisted.
