As a result of a number of operational measures carried out in cooperation with the Border Troops of the State Security Service, the Tashkent regional administration, and customs authorities, a large amount of narcotics illegally imported into Uzbekistan through Tajikistan was detected. The perpetrators were brought to justice within the framework of the law.

Drug courier who crossed the legal border

During one of the measures, a Tajik citizen born in 1986 was detained while illegally crossing the state border. During the search, 14 kg 584 g of "hashish" in 15 packages were found in his bag. A pre-investigation investigation was launched, and the person who received this substance was also exposed - a citizen born in 1969, a resident of the Tashlak district of the Fergana region, was detained while receiving the narcotics in the Bekabad district.

9 kg of opium was tried to be sold in Bekabad

In another case, the Fergana region task force detained a citizen born in 1992 in the Bekabad district of Tashkent region while selling 9 kg 467 g of "opium". The investigation revealed that the substance was first brought to Surkhandarya by a Tajik drug courier, and from there it was delivered to the Tashkent region by a citizen born in 1994 from Denov. This person was also detained in accordance with the law in a procedural manner.

Drugs were also found during checks in the car

A "Lacetti" car traveling in the "Fergana-Kokand" direction was stopped in the city of Kokand, and as a result of the check, it was found that the passenger, a citizen born in 1967, had 1 kg 759 g of hashish on his back. In addition, 995 grams of hashish were found in the passenger compartment of the "Zaparozhets" car traveling in the "Fergana-Tashlok" direction. The driver, born in 1995, was found responsible for this substance.

A total of 26 kg 805 grams of narcotics were confiscated

As a result of the measures taken, a total of 26 kg 805 grams of narcotics were seized as material evidence. Currently, these cases are being investigated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code.
