There is a memorable song for every school graduate in Uzbekistan - this is, of course, the work "Khair, Maktabim" performed by the "Setora" group and Ravshan Sobirov. This song has become a memory filled with emotions for thousands of students for 25 years. First presented to the public on May 25, 2000, this song helps to feel the moments of farewell to school even more deeply with hundreds of thousands of graduates every year.
How was the song created?
The idea for the song was put forward in 2000 by Ravshan Yuldashev, the founder of "Tarona Records". He suggested that the famous composer of the republic, Husan Sodikov, create a song dedicated to school graduates. Hasan aka performed this task during one of his tours with his nephew Ravshan Sobirov. The first musical background of the song was played by the composer Odiljon Makhmudov on the synthesizer, and then the guitar solo was supplemented by Vagif Zokirov from the group "Bolalar".
"Naturalness and sincerity are the main spirit"
Bahodir Yuldashev was chosen as the director of the clip. The clip, which was shot for two days at school No. 145 in the capital, was based on naturalness of life, without an acting script. The school uniform for the members of the "Setora" group was found with the help of singer Lola's mother, Gulnora Yuldasheva. According to one of the group's representatives, Kamila Khojaeva, the successful release of the clip was largely due to the sincerity and the vital spirit of the song.
Musical and poetic harmony
After the song began, the poet Bobur Bobomurod was asked to write a poem. However, since the written poem did not fit the music, a different path was chosen. Husan Sodikov himself wrote the first lines of the song, putting forward the idea that “May 25 is the last day of spring, with this childhood ends.”
A song that has the status of an anthem
Although the song was created in a hurry during preparations for a concert at the Turkistan Palace of Arts, it soon became the anthem of graduates throughout the country. The song, which was repeatedly requested to be listened to on radio and television, became a truly national masterpiece.
Reprise and endless love
In 2015, members of the “Setora” group Leyla and Ravshan Sobirov reprised the song. The other members of the group received it positively. According to them, the song "Goodbye, My School" will always be renewed and will remain a cherished melody that will live in the memory of every generation.
