During a traffic control operation in Surkhandarya region, a dispute arose between a driver and traffic patrol officers, which became a topic of heated public discussion. A video of this incident quickly spread on social networks, and an official explanation was provided by the authorities.

According to information released by the Main Directorate of Traffic Safety, the incident occurred on May 21 in one of the neighborhoods of Muzrabat district. One of the traffic patrol officers on duty in the area attempted to stop a Lacetti driver whose behavior aroused suspicion. However, the driver ignored the lawful order and entered the yard of one of the nearby houses without stopping the vehicle.

Officers followed him and repeatedly requested him to present documents. However, the driver did not comply with these requests, exited the car, and tried to escape on foot.

Several local residents intervened in the situation. Due to the tense atmosphere, the uniformed officer used a stun gun to calm the driver down. Additionally, an extra duty group was called to the scene.

Shortly after, the driver was detained and taken to the internal affairs department. According to official reports, he expressed regret over his actions.
