On May 28, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Imam Bukhari mausoleum as part of his visit to the Samarkand region. During this visit, verses from the Holy Quran were recited and the head of the country got acquainted with the newly built complex.
Respect and reverence for the great hadith scholar Imam Bukhari occupy a special place in the Islamic world. Every year, thousands of Muslims from all over the world visit Uzbekistan with the intention of visiting the mausoleum of this respected and great scholar. Taking into account the influx of such pilgrims, large-scale construction work is being carried out on the territory of the complex in order to improve the conditions for visiting.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was given detailed information about this during the visit. The total area of the complex has been expanded to 44 hectares, and new buildings with modern amenities and spiritual and cultural significance are being built. Today, a modern mosque for 10 thousand people has been completed around the mausoleum, as well as four minarets and other auxiliary buildings.

The new complex under construction is planned to become not only a pilgrimage site, but also a center of enlightenment and spirituality. The museums, hotels, and service buildings being built here are intended to create comprehensive convenience for pilgrims. Also, famous hadiths of the great scholar Imam Bukhari will be inscribed on the terraces and porches of the complex.
The head of state, closely acquainted with the construction process, gave recommendations on planting more trees in order to further beautify the area and provide fresh air. This will not only satisfy the spiritual needs of the visitors, but also serve to protect nature.

This renovated complex will not only be an important pilgrimage site for the entire Islamic world, but will also play an important role in further enhancing the prestige of Uzbekistan in the world community. The Imam Bukhari complex in Samarkand is a modern place that will become a center of spiritual growth, science and education, and will serve to further increase the number of pilgrims visiting our country.
Thus, the Imam Bukhari complex in Samarkand is about to open its doors as a new spiritual center not only for Muslims of Uzbekistan, but also for the whole world. This is another example of respect and attention to our great ancestor, which will be the impetus for the beginning of a new era in the cultural and educational life of our country.
