Synthetic drug trafficking exposed in Bektemir
Strict measures are being taken across the country to combat drug abuse. In particular, control has been intensified under the operational-preventive campaign "Black Drug 2025."

One such operation was carried out in the Bektemir district of Tashkent. Officers of the local Internal Affairs Department’s investigative unit stopped suspicious individuals, who were searched in the presence of witnesses.

As a result of the search, one of the detainees was found to have 17 small packages wrapped in electrical tape, containing a white powdery substance with a pungent smell. Sixteen were wrapped in yellow tape, and one in blue.

Additionally, the individual's phone contained messages exchanged with a drug supplier. Based on this information, a search was conducted at the supplier's residence.

The search uncovered 14 cassettes containing a total of 140 red-and-white capsules, along with two transparent plastic bags containing powdery substances with a strong odor.

According to the forensic report, two of the substances found on the first suspect are classified as potent. The content of the 16 packages was confirmed to be synthetic narcotics weighing 5.94 grams.

The capsules and powders found in the residence were also classified as potent substances, while the contents of the two plastic bags were identified as narcotic drugs.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 273, Part 5 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the suspects have been taken into custody as a preventive measure.

Preliminary investigative actions are currently underway. The case has been placed under serious supervision by law enforcement agencies.
