Another major scandal has been recorded in the road safety system of Fergana region. The head of the Road Traffic Safety Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Lieutenant Colonel Akmal Akhmedov, has been dismissed from his post, the department’s press service reports. This decision has sparked extensive discussion throughout the region, as the accusations have cast doubt on the official’s commitment to transparency and the fight against violations.
It is reported that at a time when broad reforms aimed at eliminating corruption, bribery, and illegal actions are being carried out in the system, the department head tried to conceal violations committed in a Malibu-2 vehicle owned by his close relative. This situation led to heated debates in the public and on social media.
According to the ministry, by a special order of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Lieutenant Colonel Akmal Akhmedov was officially dismissed from his post. Currently, additional investigations and legal evaluations regarding this violation are ongoing. It is noted that all fines for violations committed in the Malibu vehicle with license plate 40 081 SBA have been fully collected.
Earlier, it was reported that violations committed in the Malibu vehicle belonging to the wife of this department head in Fergana were previously unjustifiably canceled. This case once again showed that there is still much work to be done to ensure transparency and justice throughout the system.
When additional official information on the situation is published, Zamin.uz will continue to quickly and accurately inform its readers. Such scandalous events, as active members of the public have already emphasized, require even faster reforms in the road safety system.
