Another tragic and at the same time unique incident occurred in our capital: a 22-year-old man living in a multi-story building in the Yunusabad district jumped out of the window from the 9th floor. This was officially reported by the Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs.
According to the information, the incident took place on the night of July 21, 2025. The citizen, born in 2002, jumped out of the window of his apartment on the 9th floor. His body hit the canopy above the entrance, then fell to the ground. This resulted in serious injuries.
As a result of the emergency, the victim was urgently taken to the hospital. Doctors identified multiple head injuries, fractures of the spine, and damage to the neck and ribs. He is currently under medical supervision, and his condition is assessed as serious.
It became known that the young man had previously — in 2024 — undergone examination by a psychiatrist and a psychologist. He had issues related to his mental health. However, it is still unknown what exactly prompted him to such a drastic act.
A pre-investigation check is underway. A special working group is interviewing the young man's family members, neighbors, and close ones. Currently, special attention is being paid to identifying the circumstances and reasons that led to this situation.
Law enforcement officers have started reviewing phone records, camera footage, and other evidence to determine whether the incident was accidental or planned. Information provided by the public is also being taken into account in the investigation.
Such tragedies are a heavy blow not only for the victim’s loved ones but also for society as a whole. It shows not only the problem of one family but a larger issue: young people are under psychological pressure and need help to overcome depression.
Experts emphasize that young people with unstable mental health need caution, psychological support, and strong family relationships. Mental illnesses require as serious an approach as physical illnesses.
If a person falls into psychological distress, they should not be humiliated or ignored but rather treated properly and offered professional help. Acts like "jumping from a high floor" often have early signs, but those around usually ignore these signals.
In this regard, specialists and public organizations urge people to immediately seek help in such situations — by calling 1050 or emergency medical services.
The society’s approach to human life and mental health needs to be reconsidered. If we can make every young person feel needed, heard, and protected, we can prevent such tragedies. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
