In Tashkent, a person who extorted money through fake dacha ads was arrested

A person who extorted money from citizens through fake dacha rental advertisements has been arrested in Tashkent. On June 22 of this year, a 65-year-old citizen filed a complaint with the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs. In the complaint, he reported that he had transferred 1.4 million soums to an unknown person's card for renting a dacha, but after the transfer, contact was lost, and the person disappeared.

Following this complaint, quick operational measures were taken, during which a 23-year-old citizen, born in 1999, was arrested in the territory of Tashkent. Investigations revealed that this person had committed over 15 similar incidents. These cases mainly involved convincing people to transfer money for a dacha rental, then cutting off contact or disappearing.

According to investigators, the arrested person frequently targeted simple and trustworthy people in his criminal activities. He used their trust, convincing them to transfer money for a dacha, promising to provide the accommodation. According to citizens, most of them trusted him, as they were either planning to travel or had another reason to urgently rent a property, so they transferred the money to his account.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 4 of Article 168 of the Criminal Code. The suspect has been arrested in procedural order, and investigations are ongoing. Furthermore, other undisclosed crimes and activities of this person are being thoroughly investigated.

Such incidents affect people's daily lives and may undermine their trust. In such situations, it is essential to be responsible and cautious, ensuring high levels of precision and trust when interacting with others.
