Another heartbreaking and socially alarming road accident occurred in Surkhandarya region. On July 3, in the Altinsay district, as a result of an accident involving a Gentra car, four teenagers lost their lives. This was reported by official sources of the regional Road Safety Department.
According to the information, the driver was a teenager born in 2006 who did not have a driver’s license. He put his classmates into the car and drove out. Unfortunately, disobedience to traffic rules, overspeeding, and lack of experience led to serious consequences.
According to reliable sources, the teenager lost control of the Gentra and crashed into a concrete barrier. Four schoolgirls in the vehicle died at the scene. This tragic event shocked the local population, and the public is wondering why such incidents keep repeating.
The young driver said in his explanation:
“The owner of the car told me to wash it. We weren’t planning to go far, just wanted to take a short ride. While I was driving, the tire burst, and the steering wheel suddenly pulled to the right. I didn’t realize what happened. When I opened my eyes, I was already in the ambulance.”
These words reveal the pain of four spring-like young lives being lost. A forensic examination has been appointed, and investigative actions are underway. Additional legal measures are expected, as the vehicle was driven unlawfully.
Driving on the road is a responsibility. A car is not only a wheel and a pedal — it is also about human lives. Especially considering that such cases are becoming more frequent among teenagers, the importance of family and school education is increasing in society.
Every tragedy is a big lesson. This incident once again warns parents, educational institutions, and traffic authorities: trusting children is good, but monitoring them is a must.
