Another young life was lost in Tashkent city due to a road tragedy. This incident, which caused a great stir on social networks and among city residents, occurred on the evening of August 2 in the Yangihayot district.
According to official information, a Lacetti car, a scooter, and an ISUZU truck collided simultaneously on the Small Ring Road. As a result of the incident, the 19-year-old young man operating the scooter sustained serious injuries and died at the scene before the arrival of emergency services.
According to eyewitnesses, the collision was very intense. Those who witnessed the road noise, the sudden sound of brakes, and the scooter driver falling unconscious to the ground say they were deeply affected by the situation.
Unfortunately, the number of such losses on the road has sharply increased in recent months. Behind each such tragedy lies a family, a hope, and shattered dreams. This time, too, the sorrowful incident affected the entire neighborhood.
Regarding this incident, the law enforcement agencies have initiated a criminal case under Article 266, Part 2 of the Criminal Code (Violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation resulting in death). Preliminary investigation has begun, and the actions of all participants are expected to be examined based on fairness and objectivity.
At the same time, discussions on social networks are still ongoing. Questions such as “What other measures should be taken to ensure youth safety?” and “Is it time to allocate separate roads for scooter drivers?” continue to concern the public.
Preventing such incidents, creating a safe environment on the roads, and ensuring equal responsibility for all participants remain important duties for both the public and the relevant authorities.
