An unusual and somewhat scandalous incident in Tashkent has sparked widespread discussion on social media. On the morning of August 9, at around 08:00, in one of the shopping complexes located in the Bektemir district of the capital, a 34-year-old man named B.K., while intoxicated, damaged his friend’s car and then drove off in it. This was reported by the official representative of the city’s Main Department of Internal Affairs.
According to reports, the incident occurred in a parking lot. The intoxicated man jumped over the parking lot wall, climbed onto the roof of a VAZ-2108 car parked there, and damaged its upper part. The vehicle belonged to B.K.’s 29-year-old acquaintance, N.B. Not stopping there, B.K. began driving the car within the parking lot premises.
Law enforcement officials stated that B.K. had not been allowed to enter the shopping complex due to his intoxicated state. However, he did not calm down after this and continued his actions. As a result of swift operational measures, the man was detained shortly thereafter.
An administrative case was opened against B.K. under several articles of the Code of Administrative Responsibility: Article 200 (arbitrariness), Article 183 (petty hooliganism), and Article 194 (failure to comply with lawful demands of an internal affairs officer). An administrative protocol was drawn up.
The collected materials have been sent to the Bektemir District Criminal Court for a lawful decision. Officials emphasized that such incidents not only cause material damage but also pose a serious threat to public safety. Therefore, the case will be thoroughly investigated and appropriate punishment measures will be applied.
