Recently, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted a new decree aimed at further improving the system of early prevention of crime and ensuring safety in neighborhoods. This decree was officially approved as “On introducing changes and additions to certain decisions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the system of early prevention of crime in neighborhoods.”
Among the main objectives of adopting this decree is the complete coverage of neighborhoods with a complex criminogenic situation using modern technical means with high efficiency. In particular, high-tech surveillance cameras integrated with software operating on artificial intelligence are being installed, which allows a significant increase in the level of safety in neighborhoods.
In addition, by the end of 2025, it is planned to increase the coverage of technical protection of property of individuals to 30 percent, and the coverage of protection of property of legal entities to 60 percent. These measures are aimed at protecting the property of the population and business entities, as well as reducing illegal actions and risks.
To form a highly qualified personnel reserve in internal affairs bodies, a distance learning format will be introduced at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In addition, it is planned to gradually increase the enrollment quotas for the bachelor’s program, which will provide opportunities for further development of the professional training process in the future.
Thus, the President’s decision strengthens the system of ensuring safety in neighborhoods, protects the property of individuals and legal entities, and contributes to strengthening the personnel reserve in internal affairs bodies. This step is of great importance for creating a safe environment in neighborhoods, preventing crime, and ensuring a stable and peaceful life for the population.
