A large fire at a paper mill in Tashkent was quickly extinguished

Today, August 22, in Tashkent, in the Yangihaayot district, an unpleasant and dangerous fire occurred on the territory of a paper recycling plant. This was officially reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to the agency, at 13:29, the Emergency Situations Department received a report that on the territory of the paper recycling plant located in the Yangihaayot district, MFI “Chortoq”, Raihon Street, paper waste and dry fire were burning in an open area. Upon this signal, the fire and rescue services immediately responded to the emergency.

The fire-rescue crews arrived at the scene at 13:33 and by 13:52 took control of the fire. By 14:16, the fire was completely extinguished. Eight special fire-rescue teams from the Tashkent City Emergency Department were involved in the operation.

Thanks to the fast and professional actions of the emergency service personnel, no one was injured and there was no threat to health. The officials continue to inspect the area around the plant and are trying to determine the causes of the fire.

This incident once again demonstrated to the Tashkent public the promptness and efficiency of the emergency services. The public was also reminded once again that it is important to strictly follow safety rules and remove easily flammable materials from open areas.
