A 37-year-old resident of the Kasan district of Kashkadarya region, previously convicted of fraud, has again taken illegal steps. According to information released by the State Security Service, he introduced himself as a State Security Service employee, gained people's trust, and promised to employ them in state security agencies.
It turned out that from September 2024 to June 2025, he deceived citizens under various pretexts and obtained a total of $30,000 and more than 510 million soums. At the same time, he promised one of the victims to enroll his relative in the Armed Forces Academy and demanded $10,000 in return. So far, he has received 4 thousand dollars of this amount.
During an operational event organized by SSS officers in the city of Karshi, he was detained while receiving another 2 thousand dollars from the demanded 10 thousand dollars. Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 168, Part 4, Clause "a" and Article 28, Part 2, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code, and a preventive measure of imprisonment has been applied.
Similarly, a 64-year-old resident of the Pastdargom district of the Samarkand region was detained for violating the law. Having gained the trust of another citizen, he promised to get him a job in the SSS system and was detained while receiving $7,000 in exchange.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 25,168, Part 2, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code, and an investigation is underway.
Officials emphasized that such cases are related to the abuse of people's trust and hopes and serve as a warning to the general public. Because the processes of employment or admission to study in government agencies can be carried out only by legal means.
These events once again demonstrated the need for caution in society and the necessity of never believing false promises.
