A horrific incident in the city of Tashkent has shocked the entire public. According to information circulated on social media, a young mother living in the Olmazor district, due to jealousy and a family dispute, threw her children and herself from an upper floor.
According to Khayot Shamsutdinov, press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office, in his statement to Qalampir.uz, the tragedy occurred on September 17 at around 14:18. The woman, born in 2001, after a quarrel with her husband, in a fit of anger, threw her two sons, born in 2022 and 2024, out of the stairwell window on the 4th floor of their home. She then jumped herself from the 8th-floor window of the same building.
Unfortunately, the woman died in the hospital. However, the lives of the two young children were saved by doctors.
At present, a criminal case has been initiated under Articles 25 and 97 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (attempted intentional murder), and investigative actions are underway.
At the same time, videos have spread on social media showing the woman after the fall, lying face down on the ground. Users strongly condemned this act, describing it as inhumane and as an action that endangered the lives of children.
Experts emphasize that in order to prevent such tragedies, it is necessary to resolve family conflicts at an early stage, strengthen psychological support services, and reinforce the sense of family responsibility among the population. It is noted that the mental state and family relations of every person greatly affect not only their personal life but also the future of their children.
