An incident that shocks the human mind occurred in the city of Samarkand. A man killed his step-uncle and tried to hide the body by putting it into a sack and taking it to the cemetery. However, thanks to the vigilance and quick action of the mahalla chairmen, the crime was exposed, reported local sources.
The observation of the mahalla chairmen uncovered the crime
According to the information, on August 24 around 05:30, the chairmen of the “Navbogchiyon” and “Bustan” mahallas, during their patrol of the area, noticed suspicious actions of two persons — a man and a woman. It turned out they were heading towards the cemetery with a baby stroller. But inside the stroller there was not a child, but a sack hidden among plastic bottles. Later it was revealed that the sack contained the body of the murdered man.
Mahalla chairman Adham Rakhimov recalls the incident as follows:
“I noticed a suspicious thing among the bottles and followed them. At the cemetery, I stopped them. It turned out that the citizen had killed his uncle and was trying to bury the body. I immediately informed the internal affairs officers. They uncovered the crime.”
The criminal hid behind the excuse of “death”
During the investigation, the man tried to hide his deed by claiming: “My uncle came to our house, and he died. That’s why we wanted to bury him in the cemetery.” However, the internal affairs officers who arrived at the scene determined that it was indeed a murder.
Award for heroism
After this incident, the Ministry of Internal Affairs specially emphasized the vigilance and courage of mahalla chairmen Adham Rakhimov and Azam Ostonqulov, awarding them with badges of honor. Because thanks to their attentiveness and quick reporting, the murder did not remain hidden and was uncovered in time.
