In Fergana region, in the Altyaryk district, a court verdict was announced in a criminal case related to the death of two people. According to Aziz Abidov, head of the Supreme Court press service, the man who brutally stabbed his wife and mother-in-law to death was sentenced to 15 years and 6 months of imprisonment.
Family conflict turned into murder
According to the information, the victim woman, after divorcing her first husband, entered into a second marriage in July 2024 based on a religious contract. After living together for several months, in November, due to various quarrels, she returned to her parents’ home with her child, while being pregnant.
On the day of the tragedy, she, together with her mother and underage child, came to the rented house to collect her personal belongings. However, the unexpected happened — the man committed unlawful actions and inflicted severe knife wounds on his wife and mother-in-law. They died at the scene.
Another cruelty of the criminal
During the investigation, it was revealed that after committing the murder, the perpetrator tore into pieces his wife’s biometric passport for traveling abroad, the birth certificate of the woman’s daughter from her first marriage, and several other important documents.
This showed that the criminal acted not only to cause physical harm, but also with the intention to inflict moral damage.

In the court process, a number of articles of the Criminal Code were applied to the accused, and he was sentenced to 15 years and 6 months of imprisonment.
Experts emphasize that such tragedies once again demonstrate the importance of resolving family conflicts in a timely manner and strengthening protection measures.
