Two women suspected of committing a human trafficking crime have been arrested in Turkey. This was reported by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
It is reported that these individuals were detained during operational-search activities conducted in cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Turkey and Uzbekistan. They were officially deported to Uzbekistan.
One of the detainees is B.M., born in 1962 in the Samarkand region, and the other is N.N., born in 1987 in the Namangan region.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs appealed to the public and urged citizens affected by the criminal actions of these individuals to immediately contact the ministry or its territorial subdivisions. It was also noted that there is an opportunity to apply directly to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
This phenomenon is noted as one of the effective ways to combat crime through international cooperation.
