An unusual incident in the mountainous area of Tashkent region has become the subject of wide discussion on social networks. According to reports, information spread that a brown bear had died in the area. The press service of the regional Department of Ecology gave an explanation of the situation and announced that specialists had begun an investigation.
The incident took place in the Chulokmergan section of the “Korangi-tugai” forestry in Bostanlyk district. Ecologists, together with employees of the Burchmulla State Forestry, carried out an inspection of the site. As a result of the checks, it was confirmed that one of the Tien Shan brown bears had indeed died in the forest territory.
Preliminary assumptions suggest that the cause of death may have been a fall from a height of about 70–80 meters. At the same time, specialists did not limit themselves to visual observation only, but sent the animal’s body for examination.
Currently, the bear’s body is being kept at the Burchmulla State Forestry. After the completion of the examination, an official conclusion will be prepared and a legal assessment of the situation will be given.
Officials emphasized that such cases can have a serious impact not only on ecological balance, but also on the efforts to protect rare species. Therefore, thorough investigative procedures are planned, with consideration of all possible causes.
Thus, the incident that occurred in Tashkent region is attracting the attention not only of ecologists, but also of the general public. Once the analysis results are published, the true causes of this tragedy are expected to be revealed.
