Student sentenced to 10 years for crime

A court verdict has been announced in connection with a tragic incident that took place in Tashkent. This was reported through the “Millar” program. According to information, the event occurred on June 10 of this year in the Yashnobod district of the capital. In a rented apartment, a dispute arose between a 25-year-old man and a woman. As a result of the conflict, the woman died.

According to the investigation, after the incident, the man attempted to conceal the crime and fled the scene. However, as a result of prompt investigative actions, he was apprehended. During the trial, the defendant admitted to committing the crime. According to the materials read in court, the young man expressed remorse for his actions and fully acknowledged his guilt.

Yesterday, on October 7, at a session of the Yashnobod District Criminal Court, the verdict was delivered. The court found the defendant guilty under Part 1, Article 97 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (“Premeditated murder”). Consequently, the court sentenced him to 10 years of imprisonment. He will serve his sentence in a general-regime colony.

The verdict has not yet entered into legal force and may be appealed or protested by the parties in a higher court. The tragedy has had a significant impact on the public. Experts describe the incident as a result of carelessness and psychological pressure among young people. They emphasize the importance of moral upbringing and conscious behavior to prevent such tragedies.
