During a joint operation conducted by the Tashkent Regional Department of the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, the Chief Legal Counsel of the Akhangaran District Administration was detained.
According to the information, the official demanded 1,500 US dollars in exchange for documenting an apartment in the "Eyvalek" neighborhood, which is on the balance sheet of the khokimiyat, in the name of another citizen through his high-ranking connections, and was detained with material evidence when receiving the money.
It is noteworthy that the chief legal counsel, despite having been convicted several times before, has not drawn the appropriate conclusion.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 168, Part 3, Clause "v" (conditions related to fraudulent possession of property) and Article 28, Part 1, Article 211 (signs of conspiracy to accept a bribe) of the Criminal Code, and an investigation is underway.
According to officials, additional evidence is being attached to the case materials, and the presence of other participants in the crime is also being investigated. According to the law, until guilt is proven by a court verdict, every person is considered innocent.
The relevant authorities reminded that strict measures will be taken against attempts to illegally register property within the khokimiyat, and citizens should not fall for suspicious "intermediary" offers.
