Online declaration: a new customs system for passengers has been launched

The State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan has launched a new electronic service to make travel easier for passengers. According to the committee’s press service, passengers can now fill out customs declarations online via smartphone instead of on paper.

A special mobile app called “Yo‘lovchi deklaratsiyasi” (“Passenger Declaration”) has been developed for this purpose. The app is available on Android (Play Market) and iOS (App Store).

Once the user enters their passport details, certain sections of the declaration are filled in automatically. Passengers can also enter information about the country of entry or exit, as well as the money, valuables, and goods they are carrying.

Another convenience is that users do not need to manually type the 15-digit IMEI code of SIM-card devices — the app allows it to be scanned.

For now, the system is operating in test mode at Tashkent International Airport. Starting from November 1, 2025, the electronic declaration will be fully implemented at all border checkpoints.

According to the Customs Committee, info-kiosks will soon be installed at border posts, allowing passengers to submit their declarations there as well. Free Wi-Fi zones will also be available for users.

The committee notes that filling out the declaration online prevents common errors and delays that often occur when completing paper forms.

For reference: the mobile passenger declaration app was developed in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 57 of March 25, 2025. Its main goal is to speed up border crossings and reduce bureaucratic barriers.

From now on, every traveler can fill out their declaration in advance via the app, saving both time and nerves.
