According to reports, the tragedy occurred on March 25, 2025, during the Ramadan holiday. Late at night, the teenager secretly took the car keys from his brother after being invited out by friends. While driving at a speed of 137 kilometers per hour, he lost control of the vehicle.

The car first hit two other vehicles and then crashed into a pole. The impact was so strong that his classmate, sitting in the passenger seat, was thrown from the car and died instantly.

During the court hearing, the accused teenager expressed deep regret for his actions:
“On the day of Ramadan, my friends called and asked me to come out. I’ve always been interested in cars, so I took my brother’s car keys. Now I realize how wrong I was. Nothing can undo what I did,” he said in court.

The court found him guilty under Article 266, Part 2 of the Criminal Code (violation of traffic safety rules resulting in death). Initially, he was sentenced to four years in prison. However, considering his age and sincere remorse, the court reduced the punishment to a three-year suspended sentence.

This case once again highlights how dangerous speed and irresponsibility can be among young people. Experts emphasize that driving without a license is not only a violation of the law but also a serious crime that endangers human life.
