A road traffic accident that occurred in the morning in Fergana region drew public attention. According to reports, on October 16 at around 8:10 a.m., Spark and Lacetti cars collided at the intersection of Mustaqillik and Andijan streets in the Yozyovon district.
According to the Road Traffic Safety Department, the driver of the Spark attempted to make a U-turn when a Lacetti car hit it. As a result of the impact, the Lacetti driver lost control and hit a pedestrian standing on the roadside.
The pedestrian — a local resident born in 1991 — sustained bodily injuries and was taken to the hospital. Preliminary reports indicate that his condition is stable and doctors are providing the necessary medical assistance.
At present, a pre-investigation check is being carried out regarding the incident. Traffic safety officers are interviewing witnesses to clarify all the details of the event.
Experts advise drivers to be especially cautious at intersections, particularly during morning hours, and to strictly follow maneuvering rules.
Although no final conclusion has yet been reached, this incident once again reminded everyone how important responsibility and attention are on the road.
