In the Surkhandarya region, the court ruled against a man who harassed a 16-year-old girl. According to the information, the incident occurred on September 7, 2025, in the Jarkurgan district.
It turned out that while returning from the wedding, the citizen, intoxicated, ran into a neighbor girl born in 2009. He blocked the girl's path, asked for her phone number, and then tried to grab her hand.
During the trial, the defendant partially admitted his guilt. According to him, he did not "harass" the girl, only asked for her number and did not allow her to leave. At the same time, he expressed regret for his actions.
According to the court materials, the citizen was sentenced to 5 days of imprisonment on the basis of the relevant articles of the Code of Administrative Responsibility.
It should be recalled that a similar situation was previously recorded in the Uchkuduk district of the Navoi region - the chairman of the mahalla was held accountable for inappropriate actions against a woman under the pretext of "inclusion in the women's notebook" and was sharply criticized by the public.
Such situations once again remind us of the importance of human dignity in society, especially the inviolability of minors and women.
