A court verdict has been announced against a man who brutally murdered his wife in the Fergana region. This was reported by the press secretary of the Supreme Court.
It is reported that the tragic incident occurred after a family dispute and property issues. The husband and wife had been arguing for several days over housing disputes. On the night of the incident, this conflict escalated into a heated argument, and the husband strangled his wife to death with a kerchief from the bedroom.
According to the investigation, after the woman's death, her funeral was held hastily and without official documents. At the same time, the husband-murderer told the relatives of the deceased that she "suicide by hanging herself," and to others he gave the excuse that she "died from low blood pressure."
However, the deceased's sister did not believe these words and, realizing that the incident was mysterious, appealed to the prosecutor's office. After the application, the grave was reopened, and a forensic medical examination was conducted. As a result of the investigation, it was established that the woman was strangled, and the murder was solved.
The court found that the husband's actions were classified as a serious crime under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. According to the court verdict, he was sentenced to 16 years in prison.
The verdict has now entered into legal force. Officials emphasize that this situation once again shows what tragedies the resolution of family problems through violence can lead to.
It should be recalled that a similar tragedy recently occurred in the Kyzyltepa district of the Navoi region - a husband hit his wife in a car because she refused to give up alimony. These circumstances once again remind us of the importance of responsibility and tolerance in family relations in society.
