The traffic accident that occurred in the Parkent district of Tashkent region has been widely discussed on social media. The regional Department of Traffic Safety reported that a 9-year-old boy was injured in the incident.
According to the information, the accident took place on October 18 at around 11:00 a.m. on the 57th kilometer of the D-015 highway (“Kyziltag – Parkent – Yangi Bazar”). A 39-year-old driver, identified as Kh.D., driving a Cobalt car, hit a child born in 2016 who ran across the pedestrian crossing.
As a result, the boy sustained bodily injuries and was taken to the central district hospital. His condition is currently stable, and he remains under medical supervision and treatment.
The Department of Traffic Safety stated that reports circulating on social media claiming that the child had died are completely false.
It was also noted that a Damas driver was involved in the incident. The Parkent district police department is conducting a pre-investigation inquiry into the case.
Law enforcement authorities urge citizens to rely only on verified information from official sources.
