Fraudsters who promised to send people abroad for work were exposed

In Namangan, two fraudsters who abused the trust of citizens under the pretext of employment abroad were detained. This was reported by the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes.

It was reported that an unofficial employee of the private employment agency in Namangan promised to employ four citizens living in the Turakurgan district in South Korea. Through his acquaintances, he told them to send them to work abroad and demanded $2,000 from each of them for this service.

The person who gained the trust of citizens was detained with material evidence by employees of the State Security Service and the Department when receiving 1000 US dollars in advance.

Also, in the second case, the head of a tourist company operating in Namangan deceived his fellow townsman in a similar way. He said that he wanted to get a job in Slovakia through his official acquaintances and demanded 40 million soums from him.

The head of the firm was detained while receiving $600 and 2.8 million soums under the pretext of obtaining a visa in advance.

Worst of all, it turned out that this person, despite being previously convicted of a crime related to fraud, did not draw appropriate conclusions from his mistake.

Currently, criminal proceedings have been initiated against the offenders under Article 168 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Part 1 of Fraud. Investigative actions are underway.

Experts urge citizens not to believe such illegal offers and to find employment only through licensed agencies and official sources. Because in recent years, there has been a sharp increase in cases of fraud under the pretext of working abroad, and many people's dreams are being dashed in this way.
