The tragedy that occurred in a private kindergarten in the Mirzachul district of the Jizzakh region shocked the public. According to reports, a 1.5-year-old girl drowned in a pool in the kindergarten yard and died.
The incident occurred on October 24 at a private kindergarten named "Mehrli Yulduz." The mother of the deceased, Feride Khamrokulova, said that it was impossible to save the life of her daughter, who was born on May 5, 2024.
"My daughter drowned. So far, no law enforcement agency has contacted us. There are no comments on the situation, as if they are trying to close the case," the mother of the deceased said.
It turned out that the mother was a citizen of Kazakhstan and came as a bride to the Jizzakh region.
The kindergarten teacher also remembered the day of the incident with horror: "This happened during meals. The little girl was with me, but she disappeared before I could put shoes on the children. I went to the pool and saw that it was in the water. We took him, pressed him to the chest, and helped him. Then I and the director's son were taken to the hospital. There were 26 children in my group, 23 of them came that day, and I was alone," he said.
It is reported that the girl started attending this kindergarten only on October 3.
According to Children's Ombudsman Surayyo Rakhmonova, a criminal case was initiated on October 27. The investigation is being conducted under Article 116 of the Criminal Code - "Improper performance of official duties in a professional capacity."
A preliminary investigation is currently underway. Experts emphasize that such situations once again demonstrate the need to strengthen security measures in educational institutions.
