According to reports from the Telegram channel “Nemolchi.uz”, a woman living in Tashkent is facing daily threats and harassment. It is reported that her ex-husband does not leave her alone and is constantly putting pressure on her.
The man waits for her near her workplace or home, often in a drunken state, and subjects her to physical violence and psychological abuse. According to the woman, they lived together for three years, and after their divorce, the man started calling her and trying to fully control her life.
The woman has contacted law enforcement agencies several times, but on September 20 the term of her protection order expired. On September 18, she applied to extend the order, but there has still been no result.
On October 16, the man attacked her again in a parking lot near her workplace, attempting to beat her. Her colleagues managed to protect her, and she again contacted law enforcement.
On October 25, the man attacked her again near her home, pulled her hair, and insulted her. The woman again filed a complaint with law enforcement agencies, but the man is still at large and continues stalking her.
“He always threatens me. He says he has contacts and may plant something in my car to have me arrested.
I stopped driving my car because I’m afraid he might have installed a listening device,” says the woman. According to her, the Bektemir district police department has not provided any information regarding the measures being taken in response to her two complaints about her ex-husband.
