It became known that during October of last year, cases of illegal use of energy resources increased sharply throughout the country. According to the Inspection for Control over the Use of Electricity, Petroleum Products and Gas, damage to the system amounted to about 100 billion soums in just one month.
It was reported that during large-scale inspections conducted in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, illegal use of energy resources by consumers was revealed in 192 cases.
According to the results of the inspection, citizens and some enterprises consumed 22.3 million kWh of electricity (worth 63.9 billion soums) and 11.4 million cubic meters of natural gas (worth 35 billion soums) without any accounting. According to preliminary estimates, the total damage amounted to 99 billion 15 million soums.
In addition, 479 administrative cases related to violations of energy use regulations have been filed. Relevant documents have been sent to law enforcement agencies to take legal action against the offenders.
Experts note that such situations have a serious impact not only on economic losses, but also on the stability of the general supply system.
It should be recalled that earlier, a case of illegal use of electricity worth 4.6 billion soums by a limited liability company in the Andijan region was revealed.
