Harmful particles have increased sharply in the air of Tashkent

The quality of the atmosphere in Tashkent again showed a serious situation on the morning of November 20. Data recorded by automated monitoring stations at 09:00 indicate a rapid increase in the amount of fine particles in the capital's air.

Experts note that the PM10 indicator showed a level of 299 μg/m3, not exceeding the previously established norm of 300 μg/m3. However, the most alarming part of the situation was observed at the level of PM2.5 - 202 μg/m3. This is almost 3.5 times higher than the permissible norm (60 μg/m3).

These indicators indicate that small particles remain in the air, which are concentrated in the lower atmosphere. According to environmentalists, rapid temperature changes in recent days have intensified the inversion process, causing harmful particles to accumulate in one place without dispersing. This is considered dangerous for public health.

Responsible agencies advise the population to take a number of precautionary measures. Especially children, the elderly, and citizens with cardiovascular and respiratory diseases should pay serious attention to the observed situation.

Here are the recommendations:

- restriction of walking in the open air, prolonged active self-movement;

- wearing a medical mask when it is necessary to go outside, especially for citizens in the risk group;

- preferably stay in enclosed spaces, monitor room ventilation, and tightly close doors and windows.

Additional information and official recommendations on the environmental situation are constantly updated by the responsible organizations. Special services urge the population to monitor air quality indicators and be more vigilant to protect their health.
