The accident on the M-39 highway claimed the lives of five people

The road accident that occurred last night in the Jizzakh region shocked everyone. On November 21, at approximately 11:50 PM, a tragic accident involving two vehicles was recorded on the M-39 "Tashkent-Termez" highway of international importance, passing through the Sh. Rashidov district.

According to official data, the "ISUZU" truck, driven by a driver born in 2003, residing in the Chirakchi district of Kashkadarya region, departed from the Samarkand gas station and did not comply with the requirements of signs 2.4 - "Give way" and 4.1.2 - "Traffic to ten" installed on this section of the road. The driver tried to cross at an undesignated place and at that moment crossed into the roadway.

As a result of this mistake, a Lacetti truck driven by a young man born in 2002 and residing in the Oltinsoy district of Surkhandarya, traveling on the Tashkent-Samarkand route, collided. The intensity of the collision was so strong that a fire broke out in the engine compartment of the car, and the car caught fire instantly.

The tragedy was devastating: the Lacetti driver and four other passengers in the cabin sustained serious injuries and died at the scene. Although rescue services arrived quickly, they were unable to fight for their lives.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated by the Investigative Department of the Jizzakh Regional Department of Internal Affairs. Investigative actions are being carried out on the basis of paragraph "a" of part 3 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan - "Causing the death of people as a result of a traffic accident."

So far, the main version is a gross violation of traffic rules by the truck driver. During the investigation, the conclusions of all technical experts, surveillance camera recordings, and witness testimonies are examined.

It was once again proven that indifference to traffic rules on important highways like the M-39 can lead to irreversible consequences within seconds.
