"Bilol’s Motors" Head Bilol Mamajonov Found Guilty of Fraud

"Bilol’s motors" CEO Bilol Mamajonov found guilty of fraud

A criminal case regarding fraud charges against Bilol Mamajonov, CEO of the "Bilol’s Motors" car dealership, was reviewed in the Muynak District Court of Uzbekistan. Mamajonov was found guilty and sentenced to nine years in prison.

Mamajonov was the founder of "Bilol’s Electric Motors" LLC, a company registered in Tashkent, which dealt with the retail sale of cars and lightweight motor vehicles. Allegedly, he collected money from citizens, promising them vehicles, but failed to deliver on his promises.

According to court documents, Mamajonov and his associates defrauded victims in 48 instances, collecting nearly 13 billion som under the pretense of importing various vehicles from China. It was revealed that Mamajonov had handed over funds to an acquaintance named Wang, purportedly to secure vehicles. However, the vehicles were not delivered, and the acquaintance failed to fulfill his obligations for over a year.

A total of 46 victims and one civil claimant will receive compensation of 12.5 billion som from Mamajonov. A Volkswagen E Bora registered under the car dealership’s name will be sold, and the proceeds will be distributed among the victims.

Although Mamajonov denied the charges, the court found him guilty of substantial fraud. This incident highlights growing public concern and emphasizes the need to strengthen trust in commercial activities and consumer rights protection.
