Head of the Presidential Administration Saida Mirziyoyeva has given her first major interview, detailing her role in public administration, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s working style, and the key directions of the reforms underway in the country. This was reported by podrobno.uz.reports.
According to her, the Presidential Administration’s mission is primarily strategic: it shapes development priorities, monitors the implementation of adopted decisions, and ensures feedback between society and the authorities. However, the structure does not directly handle day-to-day operational management.
Saida Mirziyoyeva described the current period as a stage of deep reforms, stressing that sustainable change cannot happen without constant oversight, responsibility, and consideration of public opinion.
Speaking about the President’s working style, she highlighted the head of state’s openness to dialogue, ability to listen to people, and trust in his team. In her view, changes in Uzbekistan are being achieved not only through firm management decisions, but also through a flexible approach, trust, and continuous cooperation with society.
The interview also emphasized strengthening human resources and creating conditions for the professional growth of managers as an important priority.
Five priority areas were identified in the Administration’s work: water supply, education development, healthcare improvement, support for entrepreneurship, and reform of the judicial and legal system. It was stressed that the water issue is of strategic importance for an agrarian country.
Changes in education and healthcare were classified as long-term tasks: results may not be visible quickly, but sustainable development cannot be ensured without these sectors.
The judiciary received special attention in the interview. Saida Mirziyoyeva noted that without transparent and fair justice, it is difficult to achieve effective economic reforms, attract investment, and strengthen citizens’ trust in the state.
Speaking about her personal interests, she said international diplomacy and communication are close to her. She emphasized that cooperation and dialogue, including on the international stage, ultimately serve one goal — improving people’s quality of life. The principle “Every person matters” was noted as one of the key benchmarks of state policy.
Saida Mirziyoyeva explained that her appointment as Head of the Presidential Administration was driven by the need to provide the head of state with direct, objective, and timely information about the situation in the regions. She said this approach makes it possible to identify real local problems faster and effectively monitor the implementation of reforms.
