On December 31, 2025, a road traffic accident occurred in Tashkent, in the Yashnabad district on Mahtumquli street, resulting in the death of a woman. This was reported by the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Directorate.
According to the information, 20-year-old J.R., while driving a Lacetti car, hit a pedestrian, Y.N., born in 1991, who was crossing the road at an unmarked place.
As a result of the road traffic accident, the pedestrian sustained injuries and died at the scene.
A criminal case has been initiated by the Investigation Department of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Directorate under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Investigations are currently underway.
