Medicines worth 1 billion soums bound for Tajikistan seized

Officers of the State Security Service Border Troops and customs authorities uncovered a highly significant and urgent case at the “Farhod” border customs post in Bekobod, involving a motorcycle vehicle being taken to Tajikistan. A “Lochin” brand motorcycle vehicle driven by a local citizen was found to contain medicines hidden among food products and not declared in the customs declaration.
As a result of special inspections, 21 types of medicines with an estimated value of 1 billion 50 million soums were found in its trailer. The medicines included drugs such as “Immunoglobulin” and “Ferritin” and were seized in accordance with customs procedures. An expert examination is currently being conducted, and investigative actions are underway.
This incident shows that high security standards are being applied in our country’s foreign trade and that strict oversight is in place in this sector.
