New figures released by the National Statistics Committee show that interest in Egypt among Uzbekistanis has grown significantly. According to the data, in January–November 2025, 60,979 citizens from our country traveled to Egypt for tourism purposes.
Notably, this indicator recorded a substantial increase compared to the same period last year. In particular, versus the corresponding months of 2024, the number of travelers rose by 19.7 thousand, and the growth rate reached 47.7%.
Statistics by travel purpose also paint a clear picture: most of those who went to Egypt traveled specifically for leisure trips.
The following breakdown by travel purpose was recorded:
- travel — 55,090 people;
- visiting relatives — 5,679 people;
- medical treatment — 172 people;
- study — 20 people;
- business — 18 people.
As can be seen, the majority of those heading to Egypt chose holidays and travel. This, in turn, suggests that during the winter vacation season, Uzbekistanis are increasingly traveling abroad in search of the sea, sunshine, and new experiences.
