Schoolboy stabs friend in Andijan

A serious crime was recorded in Andijan region: a 17-year-old school student, after quarreling with an acquaintance as a result of a previously arisen conflict, inflicted bodily injuries on him with a household knife, and as a result he died.

According to the press secretary of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Hayot Shamsuddinov, the incident occurred on February 6, 2026, in Buloqboshi district. In some reports circulated on social networks, it is said that the victim was 19 years old.

In connection with the incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 97 of the Criminal Code (intentional murder). The underage suspect was detained in the procedural order, and investigative actions are currently being carried out.
