A controversial video was staged in Bukhara: the perpetrators were fined in court

A video circulating around the "Ahror Ota" restaurant in the Peshko district of the Bukhara region has caused a stir on social networks: the video shows a citizen hanging by his feet, while a person posing as a butcher is swinging a knife next to him.
When the case was investigated, it turned out that this incident was not a real act of violence, but a premeditated staged event for the purpose of "hype" and attracting customers. That is, the video was prepared by the blogger and restaurant owners to gain an audience, chase popularity, and increase the number of customers.
The collected materials were considered by the Peshko District Court, and the perpetrators were found guilty under Article 1781 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of advertising legislation). According to the court decision, they were fined seven times the basic amount.
There is an important nuance here: such an approach of “let’s make a video, then we’ll forgive it” may now be even more expensive. Because on February 3, 2026, it was reported that the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis adopted in the first reading a draft law that provides for liability for persons who spread their offenses on the Internet.
The conclusion is simple: you can advertise, but not by destroying human dignity. “Views” will pass, but reputation will remain — and so will the law.
