In Jizzakh, 4.8 million soums were demanded for not conducting a kindergarten inspection

As part of the fight against corruption, an operational event was held by employees of the State Security Service and the Prosecutor's Office, during which a violation of the law by one of the officials in the education system of the Jizzakh region was revealed.
It was reported that the head of the Department of Preschool and School Education, using his official powers, demanded a bribe of 4.8 million soums from the head of the institution in exchange for not conducting an inspection in one of the state preschool educational organizations.
According to the report, the official was detained with material evidence while receiving the requested funds through bribery.
A criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 210, Part 2, Clause "v" of the Criminal Code, and an investigation is underway.
It was also reported that during the investigation, other illegal actions provided for in Articles 167, 209, and 243 of the Criminal Code were also identified.
