Uzbek citizens wanted in Turkey were detained

Two Uzbek citizens have been detained in Turkey, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Turkey reported.

According to information, 40-year-old T.R. and 38-year-old F.A. were on the international wanted list for committing large-scale fraud in Uzbekistan. They were identified by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and returned to Uzbekistan to face trial.

It was noted that in recent years, law enforcement agencies have consistently developed practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey. In this direction, effective results have been achieved in combating crime, identifying internationally wanted persons and bringing them to justice.

The consular statement noted that even now, operational search and legal measures are actively being continued to identify and detain persons who have committed various crimes in the country and are hiding in Turkey.

This situation is assessed as an important step in ensuring international cooperation and the rule of law, and also demonstrates the effectiveness of the international law enforcement system.
