Two citizens of Uzbekistan were detained in Turkey. This was officially reported by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Turkey.
It was reported that 40-year-old T.R. and 38-year-old F.A. were put on international wanted list for committing large-scale fraud in Uzbekistan.
They were detained by Turkish law enforcement agencies and extradited to Uzbekistan for prosecution based on a court decision.
In recent years, practical cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan and Turkey has been consistently developing.
Effective results are observed in combating crime, identifying persons on international wanted list, and bringing them to justice.
According to the Consulate, "Currently, operational-search and legal measures are continuing to identify and detain other individuals who have committed crimes in the country and are hiding in Turkey."
