107 Out of 108 illegally transplanted trees in Tashkent have died

In Tashkent, in Shaykhontohur district, Yunona MFY, on Abu Ali ibn Sino street, a site inspection was conducted.
The inspection was carried out by the State Environmental Control Inspection (Ecopolice) following a complaint received by the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change.
It was found that 108 trees had been illegally transplanted.
Upon examining their condition, 107 trees — including 12 junipers and 95 Eldor spruces — were dead.
It is noteworthy that a request regarding these trees was submitted to the Tashkent City Department of Ecology, but the department refused.
Nevertheless, the trees were transplanted illegally.
As a result of this violation, according to the Decree No. 464 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 22, 2022 — “On further improvement of the procedure for planting, caring for, and using trees and shrubs not included in the State Forest Fund” — the damage to nature amounted to 881,268,000 UZS.
Currently, the collected materials are being prepared for submission to law enforcement agencies.
