As a result of a rapid and targeted operation in the city of Chirchik, hidden channels in the country's economy were exposed. It turned out that the criminal group tried to illegally recover 2 billion soums of VAT from the budget by pretending to have a turnover of 20 billion soums in 2025-2026 using forged documents.
According to the scheme revealed during the investigation:
- 10 electronic invoices were issued for fake services and goods worth 18.6 billion soums;
- There were attempts to illegally recover VAT through contacts and acquaintances in tax authorities;
- 340 million soums were demanded for fake "services".
During the operation, 4 people were detained while the money was being withdrawn. They planned to divide the funds among themselves.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and the investigation is actively ongoing. Government bodies and law enforcement agencies are demonstrating determination in the fight against illegal schemes of this type.
This operation is considered an important step towards ensuring the transparency of the underground economy and tax payments.
